Welcome to the Museum Of Mambo Art (MoMA)

At Mambo, we love art. Art is the reason that Mambo was created: to build a product that we could then cover with primo quality art (and of course to earn enough money to pay off parking fines and keep the bar fridge full).

Since 1984 Mambo has worked with some of the finest artists ever to throw on a smock. Working on kitchen tables as far away as London, Tokyo, New York, Atlanta, Melbourne and several of the less expensive suburbs of Sydney, this talented group of kindred spirits has, over the course of Mambo’s lifetime provided the brand with both an irreverent and gratuitously colourful platform from which to launch our assault on the world.

The acronym, MOMA, or the Museum Of Mambo Art is, of course lifted – or “inspired” by the Museum Of Modern Art in NY. We had toyed with the idea of calling our gallery the Mambo Centre For Fine Art And Live Bait (and sell fine art and live bait) but that idea was only funny for as long as it took to buy the next round of drinks. And besides, in the event that we eventually launch a site off-loading original Mambo object d'art we're more likely to attract some genuine cash - as opposed to the usual tyre-kickers, with a name that has more class than arse.

In the meantime you might like to stroll though a selection of some of our finest moments.
